CORK CURRAHEEN PARK GREYHOUND STADIUM

The Irish town of Cork first witnessed greyhound racing in 1928. However, once the old track closed the town was without a greyhound stadium for some time. The latest track in the town, and one of the newest and most modern in Ireland, is situated at Curraheen Park and first opened its gates on 8th April 2000.

The track is situated in the Bishoptown area of Cork. The principal races at the track are the Cork Oaks and the Irish Laurels.

Track Records, as of September 2014, are shown below together with an indication of how fast the time is in comparison to other tracks, both for currently open and defunct tracks, in the UK. Ratings are between 0 and 100, where 100 is an extremely fast time and reflects the speed of the track, tightness of the circuit and quality of greyhound visiting the tracks.
